Renewable self-consumers and smart buildings: Two building blocks of the Energy Transition

June 7, 2017 - 8:15-10:00 Brussels, Belgium

Free Breakfast Event at the European Parliament.

Buildings will play a key role in the energy transition, optimising self-consumption of renewable energy, integrating innovative technologies, and contributing to job creation. This breakfast event will offer the opportunity of hearing major actors involved in the building stock of tomorrow, exchanging with key policy makers on how to make this vision work through the Renewables Directive and the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive.

Please join MEP Sean Kelly, shadow rapporteur on the renewable energy directive for the EPP group, together with Members of the European Parliament involved in the Clean Energy for All Europeans package and high-level speakers including David Muller, Global Head of Strategic Marketing at MERCK (Building Integrated Photovoltaics' SolarPower Europe Task Force leader), Ann-Cathrin Ronsch, Policy Officer at European Builders Confederation, and Bertrand Deprez, VP EU Government Affairs at Schneider Electric, for a breakfast moderated by the Policy Director of SolarPower Europe, Alexandre Roesch.

The event will take place on the 7th of June (8:15-10:00) in the European Parliament (Members Salon 0G). You can find the agenda here
