European solar industrial competitiveness strategy: get involved in your segment's sub-group

By: Sonia Dunlop, Policy Advisor

Europe needs to move fast to ensure that it has all the supply side industrial policies in place to reap maximum value from solar deployment across the EU. That is why we have created the Solar Industrial Competitiveness Task Force, and as a response the European Commission has set up its Clean Energy Industrial Competitiveness Forum.

Work is progressing fast on both sides. Many thanks to all the members who have stepped forward to lead the 11 sub-groups within our Task Force for the different parts of the PV market and segments of the value chain – we are hoping to confirm the last few sub-group leaders shortly and start conference calls for each area to finalise policy asks, KPIs and key markets outside Europe.

Please do get in touch if you want to be involved in shaping European industrial strategy for any of these PV value chain segments: Raw materials, Equipment manufacturing, Standard modules, wafers & cells, Inverters, Storage, Balance of Systems, BIPV & facades, Developers & EPCs, Rooftop developers, installers & smart buildings, O&M and End of life & Recycling.
