SolarPower Europe organises European Solar Technology Forum

By: Mate Heisz, Business Analyst

SolarPower Europe has been involved with the CHEETAH project for four years - this project is now coming to an end. To celebrate the significant contributions and innovations that CHEETAH has given to the European solar industry, we are organizing a free European Solar Technology Forum on 30 November, 2017 in Berlin.

This event will be an extraordinary opportunity to learn about new technologies and form partnerships between research and industry. Key innovations of the CHEETAH project include:

  • Water based Crystalline silicon - "Getting below a 100 microns"
  • Thin fim PV - "Thinner and more efficient through smart cells"
  • Organic PV & Perovskite - "Instrinsic long term stability without special encapsulation"

Register for free here to learn more about these important last four years of solar innovation.

CHEETAH - Cost-reduction through material optimisation and higher energy output of solar photovoltaic modules - joining Europe's Research and Development efforts in support of its PV industry - is a 4 year combined collaborative project and coordination and support action funded under the European Commission's 7th Framework programme and runs since January 2014. The project consortium consists of 34 partners from research institutes and universities.
