Storage meets solar 2.0 webinar

The webinar organised by SolarPower Europe together with EuPD Research & IBESA provided up to date insights on the drivers and motivation for German customers to combine solar & storage systems.
The presentation covered residential customers with system sizes from 3 to 40 kWp as well as commercial and industrial customers with system sizes from 30 to 250 kWp. Focus was laid on the criteria customers have when selecting a storage brand, understanding the customers' needs and on marketing strategies.
Key conclusions of the webinar were:
- Business and industry customers find the recommendation of the installer most important when choosing a storage brand
- End customers are mostly interested in additional electricity services (via their solar & storage systems); however, often think that they lack transparency
- For end customers, who chose a storage brand distinctly offering electricity services, these products were crucial for their decision
- Advertisement of storage companies was perceived by end customers, leading many of them to further research
