We are seeking a highly motivated professional to support SolarPower Europe’s contribution to the Secretariat of the European Technology and Innovation Platform for Photovoltaics (ETIP PV). ETIP PV is a platform that mobilises all stakeholders sharing a long-term European vision for PV, helping to ensure that Europe maintains and improves its industrial position, in order to achieve a leadership position within the global PV market. The Project Officer will support the Research & Innovations Manager in tasks of the ETIP PV Secretariat, including the update of the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda, and the coordination of ETIP PV Working Groups.


This position is a perfect opportunity for an ambitious and talented individual to work in a continuously evolving technology, and make a change by coordinating research and industry efforts to scale up solar PV in Europe and beyond.


The Project Officer will report to the Research & Innovation Manager.


Main tasks

  • Supporting SolarPower Europe’s contribution to the ETIP PV Secretariat working very closely with the Research and Innovation Officer, helping them with:
    • support to the ETIP PV governance bodies, 
    • coordination of working groups,
    • supporting the organisation of events,
    • draft update of the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda and the ETIP PV Vision,
    • Community building of research and industry stakeholders,
  • Draft briefing notes, presentations and relevant materials in relation to ETIP PV, solar energy research & innovation.
  • Create, maintain and extend a strong network in the field of solar energy research & innovation.
  • Contribute to the content of ETIP PV’s communication channels such as the newsletter, social media, website.
  • Performing any other tasks or duties required as applicable.
  • Contributing to SolarPower Europe’s other projects, including contribution to proposal preparation as well as implementation.



  • A passion for the energy transition, and a hardworking, result-oriented individual. 
  • A university degree in a relevant discipline such as Engineering, Material Science, Renewable Energy, Political Science, Economics.
  • At least 1 year of relevant work experience in solar energy research & innovation.
  • Knowledge of the European research and innovation policy framework for energy.
  • At least 1 year of relevant work experience in project management.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multi-stakeholder projects and working groups.
  • Good communication skills and good public speaking skills.
  • Good networking skills.
  • Fluency in English.
