SolarPower Europe is pleased to launch its second edition of the EU Solar Jobs Report 2022 on 21 September 2022 during an online event.
With the current skyrocketing energy prices in Europe demand for solar power is higher than ever.

Citizens and companies alike are striving to hedge their energy bills with clean, reliable and low-cost solar PV.  Even though solar installations are increasing rapidly across the continent, creating many new jobs in the process, solar growth is currently being limited because of the lack of installers.

The second edition of SolarPower Europe’s EU Solar Jobs Report will provide the latest figures on employment in the solar value chain and provide policy recommendations to create the jobs needed to harvest the gigantic potential of solar power in Europe.

Presentation: Solar Jobs Platform

SolarPower Europe is creating the #SolarWorks Jobs platform, which will help companies along the solar value chain find the skilled workforce to drive the energy transition. This platform will connect job seekers to solar companies with a skills matching algorithm. Based on a job seeker’s missing skills, relevant trainings are suggested thanks to a broad range of educational institutions, from engineering universities to technical PV installing courses.

The platform will be launched officially on 1 December 2022, on the first edition of the annual #SolarWorks online Job Fair connecting potential solar workers to companies.
