How will Europe implement the solar strategy?
The EU raised its solar targets to 740 GWdc by 2030 within the solar strategy, recognising solar’s central role to deliver on Europe’s security, economic and climate goals. It includes a Rooftop Initiative, an Industry Alliance, and a Skills Partnership for EU solar. What specific hurdles does Europe face, and how can we go beyond the new targets?
The first panel will be on “deploying solar volumes” with a special focus on permitting and skilled labour. It will include speakers from the European Commission, climate think tanks, energy utilities, and skilled labour industry representatives.
