Event Details

In this event organised by SolarPower Europe and co-hosted by the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) and the Terrawatt Initiative, the Open Solar Contracts will be launched for a final consultation with the industry.

The Open Solar Contracts are an ambitious initiative aimed at designing and drafting a comprehensive set of contractual documentation to reduce development time and transaction costs that weigh heavily on the competitiveness of solar energy.

The outcome of this programme is a robust portfolio of open-source, freely available standardised template agreements and guidelines covering the entire solar project development chain including template agreements for supply, financing, power purchase, implementation, fit & commissioning and O&M.

To carry this project, Terrawatt and IRENA collaborated with more than 30 leading development banks, law firms and industry associations.
