SolarPower Europe and ASOLMEX are delighted to launch the Mexican edition of the Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Best Practices Guidelines.
The Spanish-language Mexican edition of the O&M Best Practices Guidelines, is based on Version 2.0 of the O&M Best Practices Guidelines and addresses the specificities of the Mexican solar market. It was prepared in collaboration between SolarPower Europe and ASOLMEX and is supported by the “Large Scale Solar Energy Program” of the German-Mexican bilateral cooperation, implemented by the Mexican Secretariat of Energy (SENER) and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
About the O&M Best Practices Guidelines
This document begins by contextualising O&M by explaining the roles and responsibilities of various stakeholders such as the asset manager, the operation service provider and the maintenance provider, and by providing an overview of technical and contractual terms to achieve a common understanding of the subject. It then walks the reader through the different components of O&M, classifying requirements into ‘minimum requirements’, ‘best practices’ and ‘recommendations’.
