We are seeking a highly motivated and creative intern to assist in our Communications team from December 2025.
SolarPower Europe is a member-led association representing the European solar PV sector. SolarPower Europe’s aim is to ensure that more energy is generated by solar than any other energy source by 2030 and lead our members to make solar the core of a smart, sustainable and inclusive energy system. We are an award-winning association and have over 300 members spanning 35 countries. We aim to produce thought-leading energy market analysis and support the business of our members through creative and successful advocacy campaigns.
Digital communications – including our social media, website, podcast, and newsletters – are indispensable tools to convey our messages. We are looking for a driven, creative and enthusiastic Digital Communications Intern who is keen to develop their skills while contributing to the delivery, and further elevation, of SolarPower Europe’s award-winning digital communications work.
We offer a dynamic working environment within a close-knit team in Brussels. You will be working with an ambitious Communications team to further develop your skills and experience in digital communications from creative content brainstorming, learning how to record a podcast, editing videos, to helping shape digital communications campaigns.
You will also gain insight into the world of solar power and EU energy policy with the opportunity to join stakeholder meetings and business trips.
Job responsibilities
Reporting to the Digital and Brand Manager, the role will support the association’s key digital communication activities on high-profile, fast-moving, political files:
· Support on content creation for SolarPower Europe’s social media channels with a focus on dynamic video content
· Draft engaging social media posts and support on publishing according to the social media schedule
· Assist on putting together the weekly social media schedule
· Help maintain and update SolarPower Europe’s website
· Support on podcast: planning, production and dissemination.
· Support digital communications for the Battery Storage Europe Platform including drafting and uploading content for the website and LinkedIn page, and supporting the production of our 10XBatteryStorage video series
· Support on the planning and production of our monthly newsletter.
· Contribute to SolarPower Europe’s coverage of events.
Profile
The ideal candidate has the following professional profile:
· Strong verbal, written, organisational, and presentation skills.
· Fluency in English. Fluency in at least one other EU language would be an advantage.
· Proven experience with social media, planning and appropriate messaging across different platforms.
· Design and video editing skills. Experience with Canva or the Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
· Excited to work in a fast-paced environment with real impact on Europe’s climate goals.
· Strong IT skills with knowledge of Wordpress and Mailchimp or other similar software is a plus.
· Strong attention to detail.
· Keen desire to learn.
Our offer
· A 6-month ‘Convention d’Immersion Professionnelle’, or Internship contract with possibility for full time employment depending on performance.
· A standard monthly internship stipend of €1.100.
· Reimbursement of public transportation.
· Lunch vouchers of 8€ per day worked (with a participation of €1.09/voucher) a value of €138.20 per month.
· 5 days of paid leave after 2 months.
Conditional on approval of the internship by Brussels Formation (SolarPower Europe will manage the request).
For students, a signed Convention de Stage (a tripartite agreement signed by SolarPower Europe, the intern and his/her university or college) is foreseen.
