Marketing Officer – Maternity Cover

SolarPower Europe is a member-led association representing the European solar PV sector. Our aim is to ensure that more energy is generated by solar than any other energy source by 2030 and to help make solar the core of a smart, sustainable and inclusive energy system. We are an award-winning association with more than 300 members across 35 countries. Through thought-leading market analysis, advocacy, and communications, we support our members and help shape Europe’s energy future.



Job responsibilities 
 

Reporting to the Head of Digital Communications, Brand and Marketing, you will play a key role in promoting the association’s membership offer, events and wider marketing activities: 

 

  • Develop and deliver integrated marketing plans that support membership growth, events, commercial initiatives and brand visibility.
  • Lead end-to-end campaign planning, from briefing and content creation to delivery, optimisation and evaluation.
  • Use marketing technology, including email marketing platforms, CRM tools, automation and analytics, to improve targeting, segmentation and campaign performance.
  • Manage the marketing content calendar across channels, ensuring activity is coordinated, timely and aligned with organisational priorities.
  • Monitor, analyse and report on marketing performance, using insights to improve digital channels, audience engagement and campaign results.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, external suppliers and freelancers to ensure marketing activity is high quality, consistent with the brand and delivered efficiently.
     

 

Profile 
 

We are looking for someone with the following experience, skills and qualities: 
 

  • At least 3 years’ experience in marketing, trade association experience and understanding of EU policy context is a plus
  • Strong marketing knowledge and experience with CRM and planning tools (such as Hubspot or similar)
  • A strategic mindset, with the ability to align marketing activity with wider organisational goals
  • Commercially aware, with experience managing budgets and supporting wider business goals
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage several projects in parallel and meet deadlines
  • Confident putting forward creative ideas and collaborating with colleagues on creative projects
  • Strong verbal, written, organisational and presentation skills
  • Fluency in English
  • Motivated by the opportunity to contribute to Europe’s clean energy transition
