We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented person to assist in our Research & Innovation Team.
Job responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Research and Innovation, the role will oversee the implementation of SolarPower Europe projects on solar PV and storage R&I, notably funded under Horizon Europe and LIFE. As part of this position, the Project Officer will contribute to structuring SolarPower Europe’s engagement with the PV research and Innovation community and support the R&I process for PV technologies, notably through the implementation of activities for project management, stakeholder engagement, dissemination, communication and exploitation. The responsibilities of the position include:
- Management of Horizon Europe projects for SolarPower Europe (e.g. Increase, EVERPV, RESILEX), working closely with other departments of the organisation and consortium partners, including coordination of work packages, production of project deliverables, organisation of project events.
- Supporting the implementation of the ETIP PV Secretariat and the European Partnership for Innovation in Photovoltaics.
- Organisation, and/or participating in, project and workstream meetings, including meetings with key stakeholders in the European institutions.
- Create, maintain and extend a strong network in the field of solar PV and storage research & innovation.
- Contribution to SolarPower Europe project proposals preparation & implementation.
Profile
The ideal candidate has the following professional profile:
- 2+ years of project management experience in European projects, previous experience with Horizon Europe is an asset.
- At least bachelor-level degree in a relevant discipline such as Engineering, Material Science, Renewable Energy, Political Science, Economics.
- Technical knowledge about the PV sector and renewable energy. Specific knowledge and experience with Building Integrated PV, PV cell technology, etc is an asset.
- Proven project management and coordination skills.
- Strong drafting skills with flair and attention to detail.
- Experience of supporting event organisation is a plus.
- Strong planning and organisational skills and ability to respect deadlines.
- Confidence in using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
- Good networking and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English. Fluency in another European language is an asset.
