SolarPower Europe Workstreams 2023

On the 22nd of September, the Board of SolarPower Europe has approved a new workstream structure that will cover all the main challenges in our industry.

What’s new?

•    The new Supply Chain Transparency Workstream will work at increasing transparency in the solar supply chain and follow the main legislative files related to due diligence.

•    The new Markets & Investments Workstreams will work at ensuring the right framework for investments into solar PV, through State Aid, electricity market design, financing conditions.

•    The AgriSolar Workstream becomes the Land Use & Permitting Workstream, to address the wide range of project access to land and permitting and help deploy innovative use of land by projects, such as AgriSolar, AgriPV, or Floating PV.

•    The Buildings Workstream becomes the Buildings & Prosumers Workstream, to facilitate the deployment of on-site solar PV through a proportionate mandate and ensure the right economic frameworks to create those business models.

•    The Grids Workstream becomes the Grids & Flexibility Workstream, and at allowing for the integration of solar PV in the grids, at connection and operation level and ensure the deployment and use of flexibility resources, in particular battery storage.
