Renewable Hydrogen is the most efficient and sustainable solution to decarbonise the sectors where electrification is not economically or technically feasible. This finding has been recognised, as the Hydrogen Strategy, the recast Renewable Energy Directive (REDIII) and more recently the RePowerEU communication have introduced ambitious yet crucial targets for its upscale.
Those targets, together with clear definitions, certification methodologies and support schemes, are necessary conditions for ensuring regulatory clarity for the hydrogen market, de-risking investments, and therefore enabling the acceleration of project development in the right area.
