Belgian Solar Day 2026 : Securing the future with solar energy

Organized by the Becquerel Institute, ODE Vlaanderen and EDORA, this day will bring together all players in the solar sector—companies, policy makers, investors, researchers, installers, and developers—for a day of discussions, debates, and networking around the future of Belgian and European photovoltaics.
The 2026 edition will focus on how solar energy and storage can strengthen energy security in an increasingly electrified world. We will dive into: - How can PV and storage strengthen our energy security in an increasingly electrified world? - What opportunities and challenges does the current investment and policy climate offer for solar energy and storage in Belgium and Europe? - How can we build local, sustainable and competitive ecosystems for PV and storage technologies? - What is required to build resilient and future-proof grids? How do we integrate solar and storage in the electricity systems of tomorrow? - How can we protect PV and storage against threats such as cyber attacks, blackouts and grid congestion, and what role can the sector play in this?
