The RePowerEU Plan has announced how the Innovation Fund will be strengthened to further support the EU’s independence from Russian fossil fuels.
The Commission will double the funding available for the next large-scale call of the Innovation Fund to around EUR 3 billion.
In addition, DG Climate Action is organising four different workshops together with the relevant business associations on clean tech manufacturing. The aim of the workshops is to raise awareness about the role and new possibilities under the Innovation Fund’s third call for large-scale projects in the context of REPowerEU, and to collect information about potential project pipelines, the maturity of the projects, as well as their market needs and risks. The results of the discussions held during the workshops will be published on our website.
