Brussels does have sun! Yes, you heard it right – SolarPower Europe is bringing the sun to Brussels for a week for a bright welcome to new and returning MEPs and Parliamentary staff.  

No other technology will have such a profound impact on the lives of Europeans as solar energy – poised to become the leading energy source in Europe by 2030. Affordable, clean, secure – 80 million households in the EU are powered by solar today. 

Meet the SolarPower Europe team at the Esplanade, right in front of the European Parliament from 9-12 September, to talk our vision for a solar powered Europe – what solar power has delivered for Europe and what still needs to be done to make solar the core of the European energy system.

The Solar For Europe installation by SolarPower Europe has prioritised sustainability.

• Our event has restricted paper use; The Sun Times Magazine is printed on 100% recycled paper.
• The installation is powered by 100% green energy from the European Parliament.
• The materials within the installation are recyclable and will be kept and reused. 
• We use an electric cargo bike to transport equipment to and from the Parliament. 
• The apple juice we will distribute is 100% organic and comes from an agrisolar farm.
