Jonathan Gorremans is our Market Analyst helping to monitor and forecast solar industry trends.

"Together with my colleagues on the Market Intelligence team, we delve into the numerous benefits of solar PV and report on the challenges that still lie ahead. We share these insights with our colleagues, members, and policymakers. I also support the team on the financial side of solar and the economics behind our thriving industry."

What do you love most about working at SolarPower Europe?

"I love that SolarPower Europe allows me to be an information sponge. So much expertise is gathered in one place and there is truly a culture of learning. Being curious is encouraged and there is no shame in asking questions. Even the light conversations that you can have during coffee breaks and lunches are incredibly valuable. On top of that, the management is not boxed into separate offices but sits a few desks away from you, ready to chitchat about your projects at any time."

What has been your favourite professional memory so far?

"The SolarPower Summit in March. It was an incredible experience to listen to so many presentations and panels, and talk to a range of industry experts."

What is your one wish for the future of solar?

"I wish even more people would see the (sun)light and recognise the potential of this technology within the energy transition. A lot of misconceptions about solar remain and a part of the public discourse is frozen because of it. Fortunately, this is changing rapidly and solar is truly soaring! "
